I am Helaman Berrios. My membership and involvement with Progress Through Business led to my employment with PI, which has partnered with PTB on various financial education initiatives: in the months I've been with PI, I've managed the extremely successful REAL Progress and Pathways to Prosperity (RP3) project in Wisconsin, taken on management of the administrative operations of PI, assisted with the development of the new MoneyCoach, and helped lay the groundwork for a second RP3 project in PA, which I will manage as well. Precision Information is a key partner in the creation of the Financial Education Advisory Group, which focuses on using the MoneyCoach to increase the average American's level of financial education. And we are working with PTB and other partners to reach more and more people.

I'm excited to continue my work with PI because I have seen the tremendous positive impact that our products and efforts have on people's lives. Research conducted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison during the RP3 project in WI clearly showed that, as a result of the project, participants (credit union employees) not only significantly increased their financial knowledge BUT THEY ALSO IMPROVED THEIR FINANCIAL BEHAVIOR! And, for me, even more compelling than the research were my conversations with project participants and leaders who overwhelmingly praised the project and gave numerous examples of how the coursework had educated them and helped them make positive changes to their financial behaviors and attitudes.

This is what motivates me and it is why I continue to be grateful for the opportunity to serve with PTB and work with PI - two organizations that, by collaborating, are making a real difference in Americans' lives.
