A Thank You for the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County Service-Learners
Progress Through Business would like to thank Professor Keith McBee and his service-learning class. Thanks to Professor McBee and his students, we were able to have a successful tax season in our first year operating a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site in Wausau, Wisconsin. Not only did we provide a valuable service to the low-income population of Marathon County, we also provided a great educational opportunity for the students at our host University. These bright students, under the leadership of Professor McBee, saw the value in engaging in a project like this and we thank them for their interest in service and all of their hard work. We certainly could not have had the success we did in Wausau this year without Professor McBee and his students. We are grateful for their service this year and look forward to a long partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County, the Wisconsin Institute for Public Policy and Service, and Professor McBee.

New Tax Partnership in Arizona
Progress was recently accepted an opportunity assist the Arizona Credit Union League (ACUL) and Arizona Credit Union Foundation (ACUF) in starting up a tax program for Credit Union employees in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. A competetive grant was submitted by ACUL to the National Credit Union League(NCUL)in March of 2010 and the selection made in May 2010. We will be working with the two largest credit unions for the current tax year. Progress has had a successful program in Arizona with St. Joseph's Hospital since 2007 which will also expand during 2010.
